In the previous post, I shared with you some tips on how to identify if you have sensitive skin.

Today, I’m gonna talk about the right approach to treat sensitive skin.

The secret to keeping your skin smooth and calm is simplicity.

Overloading your skin with too many products will absolutely destroy your skin’s biochemistry and give you more problems!

By only focusing on a few key ingredients, you’ll ensure that your skin isn’t overloaded and has the best opportunity to heal and maintain a healthy and radiant shine.

All you need to create great skin tone are a gentle cleanser, a good moisturizer, a toner, and a good sunscreen.

Here is one of the best routines you can use if you have sensitive skin.

Step 1: start with a gentle cleanser. Just stick to a mild, fragrance-free cleanser with calming ingredients like chamomile and aloe vera.

Be sure you aren’t using harsh soaps or exfoliants or any products labeled “deep cleansing” or “pore cleansing” because these usually contain stronger exfoliating agents and detergents because they’ll only strip your skin’s natural oils.

Step 2: after cleansing your face, apply toner. Do not skip this step, especially if you wear heavy make-up. Toner will remove any remaining residue from your make-up that otherwise will get stuck in your pores, increasing your likelihood of acne.

Step 3: after toning, lock in that hydration with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer. Moisturizing is non-negotiable. This step not only ensure your sensitive skin is happy, but also prevents conditions like eczema and rosacea from worsening.

Step 4: make sure to protect your sensitive skin from harmful UV rays with a gentle sunscreen that at least SPF 30 or more. This step is important to prevent sunburn, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, and skin cancer.

Here are some additional ultra gentle product that I love that are in my personal recommendation list for sensitive skin.

Eucerin Advanced Repair Cream:My skin was super dry and flaky but this cream worked great. What I like about this cream is it’s fragrance free, so it won’t cause irritation. Moreover, this gives you rich moisturizing feel, leaving your skin hydrated without being greasy. Plus, this is affordable, so give it a try.

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream: this cream is packed with ceramides and hyaluronic acid, so your skin stays hydrated and smooth. This feels rich but absorbs quickly, leaving your skin smooth and hydrate. Plus, it’s fragrance free which make it perfect for sensitive skin.

Remember, treating sensitive skin with love and care will keep it glowing and gorgeous. Stick to these simple steps and watch your skin transform into its best self.

Wishing you healthy and happy skin!
